Michael Armstrong, age 15, of Huber Heights, died at 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 1983. He was struck by two tractor-trailers on Interstate 70 as he attempted to cross on foot. Michael would have been a sophomore at Wayne High School and was active in football and basketball. He was the son of John L. Armstrong Jr. and Mrs. Daisy M. Wilks. Also surviving are a sister, Robin B. Armstrong; a brother, Mark S. Armstrong; two stepsisters, Carol B. Harvey and Donna M. Studevan; a stepbrother, Colin C. Studevan of Philadelphia, PA; grandparents, John L. Armstrong Sr., Clyde Yates and Mrs. Louise Kohlbeck. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Tammy R. Fulks, age 16, of Huber Heights, died Friday due to a traffic accident. Employed at Gemini Optical. Surviving her mother, Ms. Peggy Fulks with whom she made her home; father, Paul Fulks, Vandalia; brother, Brad, at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Donald Fulks, Dayton; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Hassel Spence, New Carlisle, Ohio. Attended Wayne High School and Weisenborn Jr. High School where she was a cheerleader, freshman prom queen, and on the honor society. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

David L. Haskins, age 19, of Huber Heights, was killed in an automobile accident at 2:05 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 1988. Haskins is survived by his parents, David L. and Judy A. Gardner Haskins, Sr.; a brother, Matthew, and his grandfather, Cecil C. Gardner of Springfield. David had one sister, Molly, who passed away in June, 1991. Haskins was a graduate of Wayne High School and had been attending Sinclair Community College. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Springfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Huber Heights Chapter of MADD.

Michael T. Mullins, age 32, of Shakopee, MN, formerly of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, November 14, 1999 at his residence. Michael was employed as an Electronic Technician for the National Weather Service, and was an Air Force Veteran. Surviving are his wife, Kate of Shakopee, MN; father, Jim Sr. and wife Mary Mullins of Huber Heights; mother, Janice Wylene Robertson of Dayton; daughter, Bonnie Mullins at home; son, Derek Honeycutt of Huber Heights; brother, Jimmy and wife Shelly Mullins of Huber Heights; paternal grandmother, Hazel Marie Mullins of Kingston, TN; niece, Kristina; nephew, Jimmy III; and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

Laura Ann Newman, age 14, of 7637 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 21, 1982, at home. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Newman with whom she resided. Funeral Wednesday.

James L. Safreed, age 30, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, March 2, 1997 at Grandview Hospital. Mr. Safreed was a member of St. Peter Church, a 1986 graduate of Wayne High School, and employed by Frank Z Chevrolet for 9 years. Preceded in death by his father Larry J. in 1984. Surviving are his mother Ruth A.; sister, Sarah M.; brother, David J.; maternal grandmother, Mary Catherine Stang; paternal grandmother, Fern E. Safreed; aunts and uncles, Richard Safreed, Joseph & Carolyn Safreed, Patricia Safreed, Robert Stang, Ron & Mary Ann Stang, Tim & Geni Thurin; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Kyle L. Sublett, age 34, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital. Kyle was self-employed as a painter and was a 1986 graduate of Wayne High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy L. in 1992 and Catherine L. in 2000. Surviving are his sisters, Alison Sublett-Davis and her husband Stanley Davis of Bellbrook. Billie and her husband John Common of Huber Heights; brother, Ronald E. of Huber Heights; maternal grandmother, Serelda Duncan of Florence, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The burial was at Floral Hill Memorial Gardens in Covington, KY.

Virginia Renee Todd (Gena), age 18, of Huber Heights., passed away Saturday, March 14, 1987 at Miami Valley Hospital. A 1986 graduate of Wayne High School, a secretary for Marshall Industries & a member of First Baptist Church of Fairborn. Survived are her parents, Bill E. & Dorothy V.; brother, Dwayne Todd, all of Huber Heights.; grandparents, Clyde Todd of Grenada, MS & Virginia Bean of Bay City, MI; & other loving relatives & friends.
